Abstract

Acute nontraumatic bleeding in the thorax and abdomen is often a life-threatening condition that could be caused by different pathologies, from congenital anomalies to inflammation and neoplasm. Furthermore, in the last decade, with the dramatic increase in anticoagulation therapy, there have emerged a large number of new and unusual locations and origins of spontaneous bleedings.
