Abstract
Anticipation and avoidance of iliofemoral access complications, especially when large delivery systems are required, can decrease the morbidity and mortality associated with endovascular procedures. Careful review of pre-operative computed tomography angiogram is key to determining if adjunctive procedures are needed to successfully deal with iliofemoral vessel issues. Manuevers to avoid iliofemoral disruption can either be staged in advanced or employed at the index procedure and include temporary or permanent conduits, endovascular conduits, and upper extremity access.
