Abstract
This chapter covers defective carbon nanotubes. Macroscopic and atomic modifications are distinguished. In the case of macroscopic defects, the case of straight and kink hetero-junctions, three-nanotube junctions, curvature, twisting, and spiral deformations are introduced. In the case of atomic defects, doping, carbon vacancies, and perturbation are covered.
