Abstract
The musculocutaneous nerve (C5, C6, and C7) arises as one of the main branches of the lateral cord at the level of the coracoid process . It is lateral to the axillary artery . It supplies several branches to the coracobrachialis muscle before piercing it. More distally, it runs between the biceps brachii and the brachialis . It supplies the latter two muscles and then continues as the lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerve to supply the skin of the lateral aspect of the forearm. Various communications could occur between the median and musculocutaneous nerves in the arm.
