Abstract

Tennis is a popular sport worldwide at all levels: recreational, collegiate, and professional. Tennis players have a significant risk for developing acute and chronic injuries of the musculoskeletal system. Although many lesions are common to other sporting activities, the emphasis here is on the most specific lesions encountered in tennis.

This chapter aims to discuss the relevant imaging characteristics of these musculoskeletal injuries. The discussion is organized by anatomy. In each subsection, the biomechanical mechanism of trauma is briefly explained.
