Abstract

The aim of this article is to stress the role of entrepreneur from the point of view of the New Technology-based Firm (NTBF) perspective. The importance of this group of companies for the economic growth and their input into the economic development of regions, make the NTBFs an interesting issue to be analyzed. Although this group is relatively small but its potential to lead a substantial change of productive model of the country, is remarkable. The conceptual survey will allow us to contribute to formulating of a clarification of the entrepreneur’s role at the New Technology-based Firm.

    The GEM report describes several stages of the entrepreneurial process. At this survey we can study the perspective that considers as an entrepreneurial activity those within the period of duration from the birth to 42 month.
