Abstract

Epidemiologic studies already done on the frequency of tympanic membrane retractions have been rare and almost exclusively exploring pediatric populations. Numerous studies agreed on the fact that in the presence of otitis media, the frequency of tympanic membrane pathologies is significantly higher.
