Abstract

It shows studies carried out in the city of São Paulo where the intent to kill becomes clearer. Researchers identified the anatomical location of wounds in homicides and the total number of shots fired by the perpetrators. This chapter also discusses studies about the number of firearms circulating in São Palo and analyzes how the excess of firearms worked as an important element in molding the perception of risk that produces the choices of people who already feel vulnerable and threatened.
