Abstract

In this paper we describe an architecture for the digital museum and propose the suitable museum data model for distributed digital contents, especially in 3D cultural objects. The development of a data model is viewing interoperability, standards, museum data model and feedback from two museums in Chiang Mai pilot sites under the Museum Thailand project. We analyzed the notable metadata enabling and supporting all of museum content management processes. In addition we also described a system that will integrate data from different museums. Finally, the museums can use this model to implement their system for providing services to cultural content experts and public entities.
