Abstract
Following the template already established in Chap. 4 on Voice, this Chapter complements Chap. 2 with its general review of instruments and their problems with two illustrative case histories. Both involve string players and both have been selected to illustrate multiple problems, first in an elite violinist who had temporarily had to give up her career and second in an orchestral double bass payer who had experienced several separate injuries.
