Abstract

In this chapter, a perspective of offshore wind farms, applied concepts for fixed offshore wind turbines, and related statistics are given. One example of a large wind farm, which is successfully operating, is studied as well. Different concepts, their characteristics, advantages, and relative disadvantages are briefly discussed.
