Understanding Determinant Factors of Firm Performance: A Time Path Analysis of the Auto-Industry

Abstract

This study pursues to answer the question of “What are determinant factors of firms’ performance?” Auto industry data of 33 brands are investigated by using SEM technique. Findings show counter intuitive impacts of some factors and call 48-month residual values into question about using it as a good performance measure in auto industry.
