Abstract
Brain tumors are among the most common kinds of cancer in childhood. This chapter introduces the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of the most common kinds of pediatric brain tumors. We also describe common complications that can arise from tumors or during treatment. Treatment requires a team effort between several different professionals including doctors, nurses, case managers and child life specialists. Several treatment options are available, and will vary in each individual case. We also discuss frequently asked questions, and provide a glossary of common terms.
