Abstract

In this chapter, we consider the problem of magnetic-field-induced perturbation of the angular distribution of resonantly scattered gamma rays. Originally, interest in this problem arose in connection with the possibility of employing a magnetic field perturbing the angular distribution of resonantly scattered gamma rays (ADRSG) to determine in excited states that are intermediate in processes.
