Book cover The Lacrimal System

Abstract

The lacrimal system is closely related to nasal structures. Surgical approaches to the lacrimal sac and duct require precise knowledge of the anatomy of nasal structures and their variations.

This chapter reviews the anatomy of the middle wall of the orbit and the lateral wall of the nasal cavity, with a clear focus in surgical landmarks. The procedure for nasal evaluation is outlined as a powerful tool in surgical planning.
