Abstract
A 48-year-old previously healthy woman presented with 3 months of worsening weeping mucocutaneous erosions, generalized weakness, and malaise (Figure). A skin biopsy for routine microscopy and direct immunofluorescence confirmed the diagnosis. Despite treatment with systemic corticosteroids (oral and intramuscular) and topical corticosteroids, she continued to develop new lesions. She had not been taking any medications prior to the onset of the rash.
