Transformation of Saccharomyces cerevisiae: Spheroplast Method
- 2.4k Downloads
During the latter half of the 1970s, first spheroplasts transformation method was established in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. With the advent of synthetic biology and genome technologies, which require handling of very large sized DNA molecules, the spheroplast method has once again become important. We present here the spheroplast method that achieved in the highest transformation efficiency of S. cerevisiae.
