Abstract

In this chapter, the experimental design and setup of the staging experiment are presented. The central goal of the staging experiment is to drive two LPA modules with two independent laser pulses and transport the e-beambetween them. This will demonstrate that a fresh laser pulse can be supplied to a sequenced module and pump depletion can be overcome. Furthermore, staged acceleration allows independent control of electron injection and acceleration.
