Abstract

In this chapter we develop the mathematics of conservation laws for concentration of species. Such laws are used in many biological processes. Two quite different examples will be given. The first example is about age structure of cells in connection with targeted therapeutics of cancer . The second example is concerned with the alarming spread of antibiotic resistance of organisms in hospitals.
