Abstract
Cancer treatment consists of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Surgery is the primary method of treatment. In localized cancer, surgery typically attempts to remove the entire mass and, in some cases, the nearby lymph nodes. Chemotherapy, in addition to surgery, has proven useful in different types of cancer such as breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and ovarian cancer. Radiation is used in addition to surgery and chemotherapy, for example, in painful bone metastasis.
