Abstract
Bangladesh is situated in the southern part of Asia and lies between 20˚34′ and 26˚38′ North longitudes and 88˚01′ and 92˚41′ East latitudes. The country has an area of 147,570 km2 and extends 820 km north to south and 600 km east to west.
