Abstract

As stated in Chap. 4, the drivers are opportunities perceived by the companies as elements they could exploit to its advantage for promoting horizantal collaboration. They come from the environment or from inside the organization and as both are in constant change, new drivers appear throughout time and others lose its exploitation potential and become less attractive. For this reason and in order to keep it as generic as possible, the model does not limit itself to a given list of unique driving forces. Accordingly, we discuss and propose within this chapter drivers and barriers for promoting successful horizaontal collaboration, as well as practical recommendation for efficient and sustainable implementation.
