Abstract

Having reached the end of the book, readers should now be well acquainted with energy transformations in every site, factory or building, and with the main possibilities of energy saving. Basic principles, of which vague memories often remain from wider studies in the past, should now be clear in their essential meaning and provide useful guidance for the comprehension of most phenomena. Presented throughout the book as the key to solve any problem, energy and mass balance should now be quite a familiar tool and the flow of energy, from site boundaries to end users, should be clearly understood in all its transformations.
