Abstract
Banking institutions play a central role in the financial and business environment. Decision making in banking involves a wide spectrum of issues. This chapter focuses on the evaluation of the performance of banks. In this context, a multicriteria approach is presented, which is based on an outranking method. The proposed multicriteria methodology is illustrated through an application on a sample of Greek banks. The relationship with bank efficiency assessment is also discussed.
