Abstract
This paper deals with the design of mathematical algorithms for measuring and predicting the status of batteries used in pacemakers. In clinical practice, the status of pacemaker batteries can be measured using a programmer. A disadvantage of this measurement is the fact that it is available only in large hospitals because the respective financial costs are quite high. The aim of this work is the development of numerical algorithms that can measure battery status after applying a magnet with an induction greater than 1mT. This methodology would be significantly cheaper and would allow determining the battery status in clinical practice. The proposed methodology is tested on historical patient data provided by the University Hospital in Ostrava.
