Abstract
We now turn our attention to examine social responsibility and accountability of the decision-making core by relating rent-seeking and resource seeking in the democratic decision-making system. To relate the rent-seeking phenomenon to domestic socio-political accountability, we may explore some essential characteristics of the political process under two social regimes in a democratic decision-choice system: one with a political market and the other without for which accountability is to be examined. We shall also examine the resource seeking phenomenon to international socio-political accountability and responsibility in the global socio-political system of nations.
