Abstract
With the anticipation of having knowledge in hand fairly soon about how many planets in the Milky Way are hospitable for life and perhaps even whether life itself exists beyond the Earth, the remaining chapters examine the theological positions of a number of religions regarding the possibility that extraterrestrial life exists. Before looking in detail at the relevant histories, scriptural texts and theological approaches of these many religions, however, we first need to discuss angels. Specifically, we need to consider whether angels are extraterrestrials?
And to Allah doth obeisance all that is in the heavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or the angels:
Qu’ran (16:49)
