Abstract
This chapter describes system PrOnto version 2.0 and results of work on this system in the SYNAT project. After the introduction, the chapter presents shortly the functionality of PrOnto that is a system of personalized search for information and knowledge in large text repositories. Further the chapter presents elements of the personalized ontological profile of the user, the problem of finding similar concepts in many such profiles, and the issue of finding interesting documents in large text repositories, together with tests of the system and conclusions.

- 1.
Some of such reasons might be the diversification of access rights and the issues of intellectual property. It is telling that Google search engine never publishes their methods of ranking (even in Google Scholar, where only additional logical constraints are used to select, e.g., publications of a given researcher) but recently came to the conclusion that the used methods of ranking should be modified; this indicates the importance of research on methods of ranking for search engines.

The final assessment is the arithmetic average rating given by the testers in the range 1–5.
