Abstract
The use of robotic arms is starting to move far beyond its roots at the automotive industry, with robots now being used in increasing numbers in the general industry, as well as the creative industry. New applications continue to pose new challenges, which can no longer be fulfilled with standard robotic arms. Specialized robot types by Stäubli now offer properties such as water resistance and integrate milling or spray painting equipment directly inside their arms.
