Abstract
This chapter constitutes the present brief’s synopsis and coda addressing attempts to formulate general principles of social evolution (synopsis), the possible integration of the latter programs with those treating general laws of energy relations in mammals (synopsis), and priorities for future research in mammalian social biology (coda).
Temperature has long been known to influence metabolism at multiple scales of ecological organization from individuals to ecosystems. Price et al. (2012)
