Abstract

Allowing a high degree of repeatability and being relatively cheap in terms of their function, sheet-metal products nowadays enjoy a significantly advantageous position in terms of their use. Besides edge and fold details, sheet-metal products require some important specifics for defining the unfolded sheet metal. In this chapter attention is drawn to the details that the user should be careful about when using automated default settings, both for bending radii and for different materials (elastic module E). Two methods for defining the sheet metal part: (1) from a cover or (2) from a solid material are pre-set.
