The Global Radiographic Score

Abstract

The Global Radiographic Score is a synthesis of secondary bone stock and secondary stability (weighted score). Each evaluation is rated on a scale of 10 and the final result is based on 20 points with a distribution in four stages: very good (20); good (18–16–15); average (13–12); poor (=/<10).

The integration of bone stock had a negative impact on the Global Radiographic Score, with a reduction of the percentage of very good results and the increase of cases rated as poor (very good: 44 times; good: 59 times; average: 27 times; poor: 20 times)

The correlation between the clinical results and the Global Radiographic Score was assessed with a Kappa coefficient of −0.18, which reflects a very poor correlation.

• Inter-observer reproducibility the intra-class correlation coefficient was globally good for the global score, less good for the secondary bone stock and even less good for osseointegration

• Intra-observer reproducibility For the global score, the intra-class correlation coefficient, in numerical score, was very good; according to the weighted Kappa index, in categorized scores, it was good.

When referring to the two evaluations that make up the global score, we note that the reproducibility tests are globally less good for secondary stability (weighted score).
