Abstract
Some rotaliid taxa with single foramina and heavy ornamentation have no umbilicus but umbilical depressions: Thalmannita and Civrieuxia. Rotaliid taxa with multiple foramina are rare in the Paleogene: Scarificatina, Cincoriola and Rahaghia n. gen. The new subfamily Cincoriolinae is here assessed. These are grouped here into different subfamilies according to their foraminal features and are considered as of incertae sedis on all higher systematic levels. In the family Victoriellidae, a considerable number of genera show an attachment surface on the spiral side of their trochospiral test: Gyroidinella laevis, G. eocaenica, G. magna are described and illustrated.
