Abstract
Online-monitoring solutions for activities of components (hardware, application and communication) in objects of complex distributed systems are considered very important ones. These can help administrators quickly detect potential risks as well as errors positions. Most of the online monitoring is now implemented with the tools of the operating systems and the special tools of devices, but these built-in tools can be only applied for small systems. Online monitoring for complex distributed systems with these built-in tools are not effective and administrators have to face many difficulties in the operation and handling errors. In addition, they cannot provide global information of monitored systems. This paper proposes a flexible solution and an effective monitoring model for complex distributed systems. This model based on the hierarchical monitoring agents provide administrators more important information on run-time status of hardware components and processes, and events are generated during execution of components and interaction with external objects as well.
