Abstract
The aim of this chapter is to provide classical techniques for solving inverse extended source problems. From time-domain or broadband measurements, time-reversal techniques yield direct reconstruction of the source. In the frequency domain, from measurements at a single frequency or bandlimited measurements, diffraction tomography can be used to reconstruct within the Born approximation a low-pass version of the electromagnetic target.
