Abstract
In this book, the problem of controlling the poloidal magnetic flux profile in a tokamak plasma has been studied. The motivation for this problem is the possibility of controlling the safety factor profile necessary to attain and maintain advanced operating modes in a tokamak with enhanced confinement and MHD stability.
