Human Face Recognition Biometric Techniques: Analysis and Review

  • Conference paper

Part of the book series: Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing ((AISC,volume 235))

Abstract

Biometrics is the study of methods for identifying a person based on one or more intrinsic physical or behavioral traits. After decades of research activities, biometrics has advanced to a great extent both in practical technology and theoretical discovery to meet the increasing need of biometric deployments. This paper depicts a detailed coverage on the research problems with their solutions in face recognition biometrics. The contributions also present the pioneering efforts and state-of-the-art results, with special concentration on practical issues concerning system development.
