Abstract

While there are several commercial medium and high-resolution spectrographs on the market, the most popular unit is the Lhires III by Shelyak. Shelyak also markets the ALPY 600 (medium-resolution), LISA (medium-resolution) and the high-end eShel spectrographs, but only the Lhires III will be discussed in detail in this Chapter. There are several different gratings available for the Lhires III. The Lhires III with the stock 2,400 l/mm and optional 600 l/mm gratings will be discussed.
