Abstract
The ALPY 600 is a clever device, but it can be confusing with all the parts and possible modes of operation. To be used effectively it is very important that the Modules be properly adjusted. The complete ALPY 600 spectrograph consists of three modules, The Basic, Guiding and Calibration Modules. The Guiding and Calibration Modules are optional. Because of the vast variety of possible configurations and use of the ALPY 600 only the Basic and Guiding Modules will be discussed in detail. When using the Guiding Module the Basic Module’s slit plate is replaced with the 23 μm Reflective Slit from the Guiding Module package.
