Abstract
From times gone by, medicine and medical ethics have remained an integral part of the profession. Islamic medicine is full of tales of the contributions made by eminent hukama of the golden Islamic period between the sixth and fourteenth centuries AD: men like Al Razi, writing his Tibbe Ruhani; or Adab al Tibb by Al-RUhawai, a Muslim convert from Christianity; or the illustrious Ferdous al Hikama by Al Tabari and Kamale al Sanaat al Tibia by Ahwazi; not to mention the famous works of Ibne Sina in Al Qanoon fil Tibb. These giants of medicine have left their lasting impressions on the human mind and history.
