Biomass Processing over Gold Catalysts

Abstract

Linoleic acid isomerization over gold catalysts on different supports was evaluated. The desired isomers were obtained over gold on carbon with 100 % of selectivity, while the activity was relatively low. However, gold demonstrated high activity and selectivity in α-pinene isomerization reaction to form camphene. The reaction mechanism was proposed.
