Abstract

Different analytical and standard approaches to silos are described. A slice method, the German standard DIN 1055 and Eurocode 1 are shortly summarized. The determination methods of bulk solids’ properties according to Eurocode 1 are given. Finally, a calculation algorithm of cohesive arches across hoppers according to Drescher is depicted.
