Abstract
We discuss different types of approximations of the individual Fisher information matrix used in population optimal design software tools and describe a Monte-Carlo option in the PkStaMp library which constructs optimal sampling schemes for population pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) studies.
