Zusammenfassung

So wie jede wirksame pharmakologische Substanz sind auch körperliche Aktivität und Sport, als präventives oder therapeutischen Mittel eingesetzt oder im Rahmen wettkampfbezogener Aktivität, mit bestimmten Risiken und Nebenwirkungen verbunden. Die Faktoren, die das Risiko für unerwünschte bewegungsbezogene Ereignisse erhöhen können, sind vielfältig und beinhalten den Aktivitätstyp und die -dosis, individuelle Charakteristika (z.B. Lebensalter, Gesundheitsstatus, Aktivitätsgewohnheiten), die Ausrüstung und Schutzausrüstung (z.B. Fahrradhelm, Klettersicherung etc.) sowie verschiedene Umweltbedingungen (z.B. Temperatur, Wetter, Verkehr, Luftqualität). Von den möglichen adversen aktivitätsbezogenen Ereignissen haben kardiovaskuläre Zwischenfälle als die schwerwiegendsten sowie negative muskuloskelettäre Effekte als die häufigsten unerwünschten Ereignisse die größte Bedeutung.
