Abstract
This book is concerned with the fair and responsible use of outer space. To provide a conceptual basis for the discussion of various szpace-related issues, the two concepts of fairness and responsibility will be discussed, first in a general way and then they will be treated separately, including consideration of areas where they overlap. By setting out their contents, possible interlinkages and consequences for different domains, a conceptual framework is provided for the topics that will be treated subsequently. After this theoretical approach, the following chapter will apply the concepts of fairness and responsibility specifically to space activities.
