Abstract
Systemic chemotherapy administered after the use of definitive loco-regional treatment (resection of all known tumor); histological assessment of the resected tumor specimen allows allocation of a pathological stage, thus predication of likely outcome without further intervention; → see also neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
