Zusammenfassung
Für die weiterversorgende Klinik/Verbrennungszentrum sollte zunächst eine erste Einschätzung des Verbrennungsausmaßes (betroffene Oberfläche in % und Verbrennungstiefe) getroffen und diese bei Patienten-Aviso mitgeteilt werden. Die Oberflächentherapie beschränkt sich am Unfallort vorerst auf das Kühlen der Wundoberfläche (z.B.: mit kühlem Leitungswasser, ca. 20 Grad Celsius), um ein „Abtiefen“ der Verbrennungswunden zu vermeiden. Außerdem kommt es dadurch zu einer Schmerzlinderung. dieses Vorgehen ist aber nur bei Verbrennungen < 20% VKOF indiziert (Cave: Auskühlung).
