Abstract

Acts as an inhibitor of xanthine oxidase. The recommended starting dose is 100 mg daily, with many patients requiring a dose of 300 to 400 mg daily, while with others a dose of 100 mg a day is enough. 100 mg and 300 mg tablets are available.
