Abstract

The answer lies within the question itself: modern. Nonetheless, what is modern? The answer to this question is rather subjective. I always interpret “modernity” in the context of a specific environment locally, not globally. A modern village school is entirely different from a town school. Modernity is revealed in the functional concept, the use of materials that allow new technical solutions, and so on. The environment expects from the architect to be primarily an engineer and only then a “sculptor” as an artist.
