Zusammenfassung

Die „Messie-Syndrom“ genannten Störungen werfen für den an Psychopathologie und psychiatrischer Krankheitslehre Interessierten einige bedenkenswerte Fragen auf. Liegt der Störung von Organisation und Planung der Lebensabläufe eine andere psychiatrische Erkrankung zugrunde, d. h., ist das Phänomen „Messie“ vielleicht eine undiagnostizierte und deshalb unbehandelte Erscheinungsform von Schizophrenie, Borderline-Persönlichkeitsstörung, Zwangsstörung oder Demenz, um nur eine Auswahl mehr oder weniger wahrscheinlicher Kandidaten zu nennen (Abb. 1a)?
